Nov. 30, 2012 - PRLog -- XLRI has extended the last date of registration for XAT 2013 till December 5. The earlier deadline was November 30. The announcement was made on November 28. XAT 2013, which XLRI conducts, is scheduled on January 6, 2013.
While talking to MBAUniverse.com, Prof Vishwa Ballabh, admission chairperson, XLRI Jamshedpur, said, “We had off late started receiving more registrations than earlier. Hence, we have planned to give aspirants more time to register for the exam.”

The registration of the XAT 2013 exam started from August 20, 2012. In an earlier interaction with MBAUniverse.com, Prof. Ballabh had shared that XLRI did not plan to extend the deadline. “We are extending the registration window for five more days so that the process does not hamper during the weekend,” Prof. Ballabh said.

XAT 2013 registration process

In order to register for XAT 2013, you have to visit the XAT 2013 website and fill in the required fields. The process will generate the XAT ID and password, which will be the standard mode of communication. There are four modes of payment of fees – cash, demand draft, credit/debit card and net banking. The registration fee is Rs 950. Admit cards can be downloaded from December 18 to 31, 2012.

B schools accepting XAT 2013 scores

XAT 2013 scores would be accepted by 106 B-schools including 16 member institutes. Some of the noted B-schools are LIBA, Chennai; XIME, Bangalore; XISS Ranchi; Goa Institute of Management; BIMTECH, Greater Noida; BULMIM, New Delhi; Asia-Pacific Institute of Management, New Delhi; IFMR, Chennai; SPJIMR, Mumbai; We School, Mumbai; Jaipuria Institutes of Management; Gitam Institute of Management, Vishakhapatnam, and Globsyn Business School, Kolkata.

XAT 2013 is a paper-pencil-based test of 2 hours and 40 minutes. The paper is divided into two parts. The first part is Data Interpretation & Quantitative Ability, Analytical Reasoning & Decision Making and Verbal & Logical Ability. The second part of the paper is General Awareness and Essay Writing of 40 minutes duration.
