Holiday Festivals in Charlotte: Tree Lighting in Uptown

CCCP is sponsoring the annual tree lighting ceremony in Charlotte TONIGHT, on November 29, at 6:30 p.m! Festivities to follow.
Nov. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- The Charlotte Center City Partners are sponsoring a tree lighting ceremony in Uptown Charlotte tonight, Thursday, November 29, 2012.  An annual event, the Atlantic Coast Conference has teamed with CCCP to present this year’s evening of holiday festivities to the citizens of Charlotte.

There will be a little bit of music, a little bit of football, and a lot of holiday spirit to celebrate the start of another Christmas season.  Located in Charlotte’s Uptown, attendees can look forward to a tree lighting at 6:30 pm, followed an hour later by holiday merriments that you won’t want to miss.  Expect to hear your favorite holiday tunes and play original seasonal games.  Rumor even has it that Santa himself will be in attendance!

And, as the ACC is celebrating with Charlotte this year, you can bet that the mascots are joining in on the holiday fun.

Again, the event begins at 6:30 p.m., and holiday activities will be held until 8 p.m., near Trade and Tryon.

Charlotte Center City Partners is a group dedicated to promoting life and business in the City of Charlotte.  Their website features a variety of businesses, venues, shops, and restaurants in Charlotte, including an array of things to do in Uptown.  For more information, or to learn more about having your own business featured, visit
