New Book - Four teens feared missing found on the cover of a book! Thomas Edison implicated.
The series CUL8RTM is about 4 teens involved with solving mysteries and righting wrongs by using their 21st century maturity and creativity and at their own peril, and travelling back to the time of the crime. Cover model contest ends March, 2013.
Nov. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- The series is unique in that the authors are offering teens across the U.S. the opportunity to become the characters in the books by being on the covers of books. ”Today’s teens have a difficult environment to grow up in, and we really want to champion the strengths and positive traits of today’s youth,” Co-author Alex Parker noted.
The books are debuting on Amazon.com in both paperback and eBook format. Full details on the cover model contest can be found on the CUL8R website at www.CUL8Rseries.com . A summary of book #1 OMG can also be found at the website. There is a link to the YouTube book trailer at http://youtu.be/
“The series CUL8R starts with the first book OMG, about four high school students who find themselves caught in the middle of the 40-year-old unexplained death of a co-ed from their high school. Their problem isn’t surviving the time travel but the dilemma of whether or not they should right an old wrong or let history stand, no matter what,” says Kathy Clark, creator and co-writer of the new young adult series CUL8R . The book is set in beautiful Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
“They don’t randomly go back just to party or to change the past in some way that will benefit them today. Through Thomas Edison’s Telephone to the Dead, they gain new information about an old and famous mystery in Fort Myers and feel compelled to intervene. The trip and the decisions they must make once back in 1966 proved more difficult and complicated than they expected,” said Alex Parker.
“My co-writer, Alex Parker and I want our readers to feel like they are actually part of this series. To that end, we want four average teens to represent our characters, and we are conducting a nationwide contest to find the four people that will become the cover models for the books,” Kathy related. “Each book will also have one or more secondary characters that will appear only on that cover.”
The cover model contest is open to all 15 to 19 year olds who best represent the heroes of the book and series. “The two boys and two girls we are looking for are not necessarily the beautiful and cool kids. We truly want young people who best represent the characters and can see themselves traveling through time, as well as to develop as the series progresses,”
