Record Revenue Announced For The Royal Garden Hotel

The independent 5-star Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington has announced record revenue for its conferences and events sector hitting just under £4 million, the highest figure reported by the hotel in five years.

Nov. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- The independent 5-star Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington has announced record revenue for its conferences and events sector hitting just under £4 million, the highest figure reported by the hotel in five years.  

The encouraging results have come following the completion of a £45 million refurbishment at the hotel, which saw the creation of ‘The Palace Suites’, an all-encompassing, flexible space designed for hosting exclusive conferences and events of varying sizes.

The redevelopment work has also greatly enhanced the in-room facilities aimed at business travellers, in turn helping to drive the residential meetings market. These features include international sockets, Media Hubs with HDMI, Wi-Fi and flat screen televisions in all rooms.

Mark Anderson, Sales and Marketing Director, Royal Garden Hotel explained; “The opening of The Palace Suites this year has given us a really versatile and popular option for our clients, allowing us to cater for a range of both exclusive large scale and residential events. This combined with continually high service levels and of course the fact that we are an independent hotel, really does give us greater flexibility over many of our chain hotel competitors - a real draw for clients.”

He continued, “In addition, as recent trends have shown, many companies are opting for 5-star hotels as they know they will provide the quality of event that will communicate success in business despite a difficult economic period. Holding an event at a luxury property such as the Royal Garden Hotel provides security, faith of service and guaranteed excellence, ultimately leading to a successful event and satisfied clients.”

During 2012 the hotel has hosted several notable events, which have included the Worldhotels’ Global Annual Conference who were the first to use The Palace Suites and multinational manufacturer Indesit and the 120 winners of its ‘Indesit Football Talents’ competition.

Most recently, the hotel was selected by global electrical company Aggreko to provide corporate hospitality for its staff and clients during its role supplying primary power during the Olympic and Paralympic Games during the ceremonies and events. On the event, Kevin Brownhill, Customer and Sponsorship Manager - London 2012 & Sochi 2014, Aggreko UK Ltd commented; “It is without doubt the best hotel experience Aggreko has ever had.  The biggest praise I can give the Royal Garden Hotel is to say that the hospitality delivered during Games has set a new standard for hospitality within Aggreko”.
