Quiksilver Launches Mountain Concept Stores In Vail And Park City

Nov. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Quiksilver Headquarters, CA – November 28, 2012 – This month, Quiksilver launched their newly designed mountain concept stores in Vail, Colorado and Park City, Utah to emphasize the winter offerings of their snow and technical apparel collections.  Debuting on November 16 and November 19, respectively, the stores appeal to the mountain-oriented wintersports enthusiast in each location and re-affirm Quiksilver’s commitment to snow sports from its “mountain and wave” roots.

The aesthetic of the mountain retail concept reflects the look of a modern log cabin, complete with wood floors and fixtures and earth-toned furniture.  The walls are adorned with imagery of Quiksilver and Roxy team riders, reminding shoppers of the brand’s partnership with some of the best athletes in snow sports.  The design and apparel stock of the stores will be targeted towards the specific type of consumer that shops in Vail and Park City, highlighting the brand’s awareness and devotion to their active audience.

“We’re very excited to open the 12/13 winter season with our new mountain concept store in selected North American resort locations,” said Clark Gundlach, Senior Vice President and GM of Quiksilver’s Wintersports Division.  “This is a great opportunity for us to showcase a much wider selection of our technical snow products, introduce our new technical apparel product line, and keep Quiksilver true to its roots in snow.”

The launch of the mountain concept stores are part of Quiksilver’s retail overhaul in an effort to play to the brand’s strengths and reconnect with the distinctive aesthetic and culture that they’ve held for decades.  Quiksilver and Roxy stores across the country will debut updated designs and layouts over the next two years.
