is releasing videos featuring interviews with midsize company CEOs and thought leaders from around the world. The Institute has interviewed over forty CEOs and thought leaders from across the country and in Europe.
The videos cover a range of topics including challenges of midmarket manufacturing companies, family-owned businesses, companies that choose to be great, rather than just grow, employee owned companies and their challenges and exporting. Each interview gleans insights from leaders and experts that can be applied to midsize businesses.
Select videos from the series are being made available for free on the Midmarket Institute’s YouTube channel and will be promoted on the social media channels with the hashtag #Midmarketvideos and on the Midmarket Institute website (www.midmarket.org)
. The first of the videos that has been released is an interview with Mr. Michael Werner, former CEO of the family-owned Werner Ladders. In this video clip, Mr. Werner makes a case for companies to take advantage during periods of recession and reinvent themselves, explore new markets and improve their business. Mr. Werner offers a range of ideas for midmarket CEOs to capitalize on the current and future economic downturns. Other business leaders interviewed by Ram Iyer in the video series include Mr. Paul Darley, CEO of Darley & Company, a family owned business in Illinois, Mr. Michael Campbell, Chairman of Mannington Mills in New Jersey and several thought leaders in Germany’s mittelstand including Dr. Patrick Adenauer, President of the German Family-owned Business Association (ASU) and Dr. Hermann Simon, author of ‘Hidden Champions’.
