ADVANCE For Nurses Announces 2013 Best Nursing Team Contest

Nov. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- ADVANCE for Nurses has announced the kickoff of its 12th annual
Best Nursing Team Contest. ADVANCE will be accepting entries from November 26, 2012 - January 31, 2013 and entries must be submitted through the official entry form online at http://nursing.advanceweb.com/Web-Extras/Online-Extras/Best-Nursing-Team-2013.aspx.

"Nurses work hard for their patients, their facility and their co-workers. By celebrating the nursing teams who read our magazines, we aim to do our part in honoring the everyday heroes who keep our nation healthy and safe," said Linda Jones, editorial director of ADVANCE for Nurses. "We stand behind our mission to recognize their diligence and commitment to providing the best possible care."

The contest subject this year is: Your Defining Moment. ADVANCE is asking nursing teams to describe one spectacular event during the past year to be recognized as the ADVANCE 2013 Best Nursing Team.

To participate, nurses need to write an essay by Jan. 31, 2013 on their team's defining moment in ONE of the following categories: Initiative, Adaptability, Expertise, or Outreach.

The top 10 Best Nursing Teams will be honored online during National Nurses Week. The top 5 teams from each of the print circulation areas will also be featured in print. Any group of nurses working together as a team: units, committees, chapters, etc. (with RNs as the majority of the team members) are eligible to participate in the contest. Winners will be notified in April 2013. A panel of nursing peers will decide which teams get the honor of 2013 Best Nursing Team.

ADVANCE for Nurses, a magazine and web site, presents articles and features for registered nurses of all specialties. ADVANCE also features clinical information, continuing education, local nursing coverage, a large listing of available job opportunities and the latest product news.
