Chiropractor Finds Home in Plymouth’s Historic Train Station

Dr. Kevin Venerus opens his new chiropractic practice in Plymouth’s Train Station located in the heart of the Old Village.

Nov. 28, 2012 - PRLog -- Dr. Kevin Venerus has recently opened a chiropractic office in Plymouth, Mi, making the move from his former location in Livonia.

Since graduating from the National University of Health Sciences in 2002, Dr. Venerus has been in practice in the Livonia area.  When Plymouth’s Train Station became available, he decided to make the move to Plymouth.

“It is a beautiful building, in the perfect location,” he said.  “I have always been a fan of historic buildings.  The layout of the building was perfect for a chiropractic office. It has the original hardwood floors, high ceilings, and large open space with plenty of windows”, he added.

Dr. Venerus has been reading about the history of train stations since he knew his office would be located in one.

“The Plymouth Train Station was built in 1871 and was a part of the Pere Marquette railway.  It is fascinating to think that between 1871, and the creation of the automobile and roads in the early 20thCentury, this rail station was one of the only ways to leave or enter Plymouth” said Dr. Venerus.

“I am really excited for my practice to be a part of the Old Village, and become involved in the Plymouth community.  I’ve joined the Plymouth Chamber of Commerce and looking forward to being an active member” he said.

Dr. Venerus specializes in the treatment of low back, and neck pain.

“We utilize a technique called Flexion-Distraction for our patients with low back pain.  It gives the patient a feeling of a really good stretch in their lower back while I target specific levels of their lumbar spine,” he said.

Dr. Venerus added, “Chiropractic care is also effective in treating shoulder, hip, knee, or almost any joint in the body.  When there is muscle or ligament involvement, we utilize special neurological stretches or physical therapy modalities such as ultrasound and electric stimulation.”

“Once the patient is pain-free, we incorporate specific exercises into the treatment plan to keep the patient pain-free,” he added.

“I am accepting new patients, and I am looking forward to meeting many residents in the Plymouth area, and hopefully provide them with quality chiropractic care.” Said Dr. Venerus

The Plymouth Chiropractic Center accepts most insurances including BCBS, Aetna, Medicare, Cigna, just to name a few.  Late evening appointments are available.

The office is located at 900 Starkweather, in Plymouth Mi.  You can contact by phone at (734) 437-7689, or on Facebook.com/PlymouthChiropracticCenter.
