Houston, Texas – November 26, 2012---All those Ferrari fans waiting for the arrival of the first 2013 Ferrari F12 Berlinetta in America, would have to wait until the first one was auctioned at a posh event at the Byram Ranch in Johnson City, Texas. The invitation only event was hosted by Ferrari North America and all proceeds were to benefit the American Red Cross – Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort. The ranch is an exotic game ranch designed to host corporate events and sports a private landing strip for jets and a pad for helicopters. Many of the well-heeled guests came in via jets and helicopters. Distinguished guests included Texas Governor Rick Perry and Country Music Star Clay Walker.
Many of the guests were in town (Austin) for the Circuit of the Americas F1 Race, which draws race fans from around the world. The iconic car has a price tag of around $330,000, but auctioneer Rodney Foster is passionate about the causes he supports with his gifted auctioneering abilities. The final bid was an amazing $1,125,000.00!
