-- Consumer website UK Energy Saving is preparing for Christmas this year with an Advent Calendar with a difference. Starting on the 1st December they will be announcing a different energy saving or ethical living suggestion each day in the run up to Christmas Day. The UK Energy Saving website contains information on all aspects of energy saving and ethical living choices, and they hope that their Advent Calendar will provide some useful tips for ‘keeping it green’ at this busy time of year.
“In the days after last Christmas our ’12 Days of Christmas’ energy saving tips proved to be very popular, so this year we decided to give our visitors some food for thought in the run up to Christmas” explains Hayley Jones, Web Marketing Director at UK Energy Saving. “Our advent tips will cover some general suggestions as well as those more specific to the time of year. We hope this will be an easy way for consumers to continue to think about saving energy and ethical choices despite the hectic weeks leading up all the festivities over Christmas and New Year.”
The Advent Calendar will consist of posts on the UK Energy Saving Blog at uk-energy-saving.blogspot.com which will then also get a mention on social networking sites. Regular blog visitors will easily be able to keep up with the tips, and others can subscribe to the blog or follow UK Energy Saving on social networking sites to make sure they see all the suggestions.
