New 32 volt power supply from TDK-Lambda
Industrial power supplies giant TDK-Lambda extends its HFE1600 range power supply products with the launch of the 32 volt HFE1600-32 model
The company’s key TDK-Lambda subsidiary, which specialises in producing highly reliable industrial power supply units, has a well deserved reputation for innovation, manufacturing and service excellence, supplying to businesses in all corners of the world.
TDK-Lambda’s HFE1600 range of 1.6 kilowatt front end power supplies is already well established, with 12 volt, 24 volt and 48 volt models currently available. The manufacturer is now extending the HFE1600 range with the launch of the 32 volt HFE1600-32 model. The new voltage model is a perfect complement to this impressive series of compact, efficient and robust industrial power supply units.
The new TDK-Lambda HFE1600-32 product is particularly suitable for use in a variety of broadcast and communications applications as well as laser and process control. The HFE1600 range is versatile, accepting universal input from 85 volts up to 265 volts AC.
The units are environmentally responsible delivering high efficiency of up to 92 per cent; this helps minimise heat dissipation and also power consumption. The HFE1600 range is fully compliant with the Climate Savers Computing Initiative’s stringent efficiency standards.
One of the key strengths of the TDK-Lambda HFE1600 range lies in the capability to mount up to five individual HFE1600 units into a dedicated 1U standard rack, thereby combining to deliver up to 8 kilowatts of power. Up to ten units can also be configured in parallel (utilising single wire current sharing) to create a hot swap N+1 redundancy power system.
TDK-Lambda’s rack system also incorporates an integrated keying system, designed to prevent the accidental insertion of power supply modules into adjacent racks of different voltage.
The HFE1600 range boasts robust construction, reliability and ease of use. Output voltage is fully programmable by either resistance, external voltage or by utilising an optional PM Bus compatible I2C interface.
TDK-Lambda HFE1600 power supplies also meet all relevant safety standards, complying with EN55022 and FCC Class A radiated and Class B conducted emissions, and IEC61000-4 requirements for surge immunity. As well as being approved to EN/IEC/UL 60950-1 edition 2 with CE mark, each product is supported by a full three year warranty.
