Follow on Google News | KLNE opens distribution center in MelbourneKLNE opens a distribution center in Melbourne for its Sunteams and Solartec range of grid-tied inverters.
By: KLNE The company previously used the premises only for warehousing, warranty and technical support functions. These functions will still remain in Mount Waverley. From now on, customers will be able to order from China (contacting KLNE’s english speaking staff) but have the facility to have their order filled from Melbourne. “We understand that companies with smaller orders do not want to deal with importing from China with all the paperwork and waiting time for the arrival of units that it entails,” said Wison Qi, KLNE’s Sales Director. “Our distribution centre will enable them to get their units much quicker and with less fuss.” The distribution centre is in response to customer demand for a quicker turnaround from order to delivery. KLNE held a survey of its customers and the results showed that a majority supported the creation of a distribution centre in Australia. KLNE already had premises at Mount Waverley and decided to use them for this purpose. Companies placing larger orders will still be served from the Chinese mainland by container to the Australian ports.
