The city can have up to 1.5 million visitors annually with most tourists preferring the pleasant summer season to travel. Summer is one of the finer seasons to visit Frankfurt because of its warm and sunny climate but Frankfurt being a temperate climate with continental climate, it experiences four seasons, none of which are very extreme. The weather stays pretty consistently mild through the year with the exception of snow in the winter. During the months of June, July and August temperatures can top 30°C, making the days rather hot and humid.
