Ron Ward Becomes President of the Washington Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates

Nov. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Mr. Ward’s career has featured a series of significant achievement “firsts” as a person of color. He was elected 2004-2005 President of the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA), the first to serve in that position in the organization’s then 114 year history.  In 2008, he became the first to receive WSBA’s highest honor, the Award of Merit.  Ron is also a past President of the Washington  State Bar Foundation (2008-2011), the first in the Foundation’s history to serve in that capacity.  In 2006, the Loren Miller Bar Association of Washington renamed its President’s Award, the Ron R. Ward President’s Award.

The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) was founded with the primary purpose of preserving the concept, “justice by the people.”  It is a national association of experienced civil law plaintiff and defense lawyers highly regarded for displaying skill, civility, a high degree of ethics and integrity in the practice of law. Membership is by invitation only.  ABOTA is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the U.S. Constitution’s Seventh Amendment right to jury trial.\
