NDX Group Ships More than 1,500 Pounds of Treats for the Troops

In its fourth year of participation, NDX Group’s overnight shipping division, Next Day Xpress (http://www.shipndx.com/index.html), provided the pediatric dentist office with boxes, pallets and logistics to ship the collected candy (and other items, such as toiletries) to troops overseas.

“NDX Group has been extremely generous in offering its services, free of charge, to help make our annual Halloween Candy Buyback a success,” said smiles4children’s Dr. Choti Jahnigen. “The idea behind the program is to encourage children to eat healthy, while also supporting the men and women serving our country.”

With offices in Catonsville and Ellicott City, Md., smiles4children specializes in pediatric dentistry for infants, children, young adults, and special needs patients. Over the past four years, smiles4children and NDX Group have shipped more than 6 tons of treats for the troops. For every pound of candy donated, contributors received $1, as well as a Halloween toothbrush.
