arcplan Rated best in Enterprise Vendors in The BI Survey 2012

Nov. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- The BI Survey 2012, the world's largest independent survey of Business Intelligence software users published by the Business Application Research Center (BARC) has rated arcplan the best BI Solutions Provider in a series of categories. In this years’ survey arcplan was placed in the Large Enterprise Reporting, Dashboard, and Large Enterprise Project peer groups along with vendors like IBM, Information Builders, MicroStrategy, Oracle, and SAP. Among these vendors, arcplan came out on top in many categories and also reclaimed its ranking as the leading BI frontend to SAP BW for the 8th year in a row, and Oracle Essbase and IBM Cognos TM1 for the 3rd year in a row. Among the Enterprise Reporting and Large Enterprise Project vendors, arcplan took the top spot for a set of prestigious categories. The Survey collected feedback from over 3,000 users

arcplan's # 1 ranks include:

·         Innovation: This reflects four new technologies -- cloud BI, collaboration, mobile BI and visual analysis. According to BARC, arcplan has shown strength and focus in developing new products in these areas that customers have started to deploy.

·         Competitive Win Rate: Even in large enterprise projects where companies often have standardized on larger vendors, arcplan is able to hold its own. According to BARC this is an effect of the product's functionality and flexibility.

·         Collaboration: The capacity to share content and annotations with other users is crucial today. Collaborative features of BI tools are important in aiding the exchange of information, and arcplan allows this not only in its reporting environment, arcplan Enterprise, but also in its planning and budgeting solution, arcplan Edge, and its search & collaboration solution, arcplan Engage.

·         Customer Satisfaction: For many years arcplan has developed upon a stable core, arcplan Enterprise, and this maturity reflects well in product satisfaction, making arcplan the top product in this category.

Again arcplan is ranked as the most essential BI frontend to Oracle Essbase, with 25 percent of Essbase users responding in arcplan's favor and prominent organizations such as Turner Broadcasting, Wegmans, Sodexo, IMAX, Deutsche Telekom, and Southwest Airlines using arcplan to analyze their Essbase data. Lastly, arcplan remains the leading frontend to IBM Cognos TM1 for the 3rd year in a row, besting Cubeware Cockpit and Oracle Hyperion Planning.
