Nov. 26, 2012 - PRLog -- (Forestville, MD) - On November 17, 9-year-old Inspirational Rapper/Singer Chi Chi Monet partnered with Sports Zone Elite (Forestville) for “MOVIN!” a kids sneaker show and childhood obesity prevention event, co-hosted by Soul Singer Reesa Renee with music by DJ Heat of WPGC 95.5 FM. The afternoon was a fun time for all the kids and parents in attendance. Chi Chi Monet performed her hit single “No Bully (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DB0GMC0rAy4)” and debuted her upcoming release, “Move” - a song that encourages kids to stay active and healthy. The Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at George Washington University, Brandy Walker, also led the kids through a fun workout session prior to the sneaker show.
When asked about why this event is important, Sports Zone Vice President of Sales and Marketing John Mastrianni said, “We are involved in this event because we feel it is important to educate our parents and children about how serious this problem has become. ‘Child Obesity’ has tripled since 1980, and so it’s extremely important that we get our kids eating right and exercising TODAY!!”
