Murray State University Alumni Releases Books
Dr. James Allen Harryman, writing as Allen James has recently released 5 books in his series of "Guide to Success" calendar books as well as a collection of poetry entitled "From the Heart: prose and poetry from the depths of life.
Allen James is a psychotherapist, guidance counselor, college English instructor and author. He has written five novels; Reflections (1990), The Michelle Syndrome (1993), Midnight Journey (1995), The End (2004) and Lady in Black (2010) and is presently working on his sixth and seventh novels, Murder at Pendale Lodge and Diary of a DWI as well as a children's book entitled Crystal the Condor Makes Friends, due for release in the spring of 2013.
Originally from western Kentucky, presently James is living in rural southeast Missouri. James attained his BS in Communications in 1983, his MA in Psychological Counseling in 1989 and his PhD in Psychological Counseling in 2000.
His series consists of "A Man's Daily Guide to Success", "A Woman's Daily Guide to Success", "A Graduate's Daily Guide to Success", "A Teacher's Daily Guide to Success" and "A Counselor's Daily Guide to Success". As well his newly released collection of prose and poetry; "From the Heart: prose and poetry from the depths of life is now available.
