Nov. 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Hey Guys! Can you believe there is only a month until Xmas??  Where does the time go right?

Well I guess what that means, is it's time to jump right in a get festive!  So for the next few weeks I will be posting my

12 days of Holiday makeup inspiration!

There will be six eye look and six lip looks, and at the end I will post them all together so that you can look through and mix and match them all!  For those of you who are not math whizzes thats a total of 36 holiday looks to choose from.  If you have more holiday parties to go to than that then...well then you are a hell of a lot more popular than I am!

And I will try to keep them all on the simple side as far as the skills required, so that everyone can achieve them!

So here we go Day 1!For the first eye look I did a pretty standard winged liner, but to make it more festive I used a green/teal liner inspired by the color of a christmas tree, and gold liner in the water line because there is no color more "Holiday" than gold!

I also applied a tiny bit of black liquid liner at the corner and through the upper lash line to make the wing sharper and add definition.

Simple, no?

Stay tuned, there are a lot of holiday colors and glitters and shimmers and gilded holly jolly goodness to come.

And don't forget to follow me on Instagram! (msquinnface)  I post daily makeup photos, sneak previews of blog looks and other fun beauty related things!

If drinking cold water is just too much for you to deal with in the winter, you can always get your hydration with a hot drink.  Just keep a few things in mind...avoid trying to hydrate with caffeinated beverages.  Caffeine is a diuretic, so it will actually serve to dehydrate you more than anything.  In other words you can't rely on your morning coffee to help out here.  Hot chocolate may also sound like a good alternative to you, but we are trying to avoid winter skin, not put on a layer of blubber to protect us from the cold here folks...

If you need a hot beverage go with a caffeine free herbal tea, or my favorite at home recipe is hot water with fresh squeezed lemon and a sprinkle of cinnamon.  These will help you get your daily water, and also help get the chill out of those bones.

Now that we have the inside covered, lets start with the outside.

To start with, I know know a hot shower can feel really good and help get the chill out, but don't let it be too hot.  Super hot water can make your skin dry out even more.

You should moisturize as soon as you get out of the shower, while your skin is still a bit damp.  This will help lock some of the moisture into your skin.

After years of experimenting my favorite way to do this is to mix coconut oil into my daily moisturizer.
