Michele Copp Relates Exciting Tale of Hunt for Lost Beatles Music in [Still Just] Four Liverpool Lads

Author Michele Copp has been a Beatles fan since she was a teenager like so many others, but unlike most other authors who have succumbed to the urge to write about the Beatles, she chose to merge her knowledge of the Beatles, her own personal experiences with the British Beatles Fan Club and her extensive travels across Britain into a fictional mystery/adventure story [Still Just] Four Liverpool Lads.

The story speculates on what might have happened had The Beatles briefly reunited in the early 1970s, created a fantastic album of never-before-heard music and then broke up again before it could be released.  The main characters, based on a real group of fans in the London area, stumble upon a clue that suggests that this did happen and thus begins a wild chase to find the missing music that takes the group from the Isle of Wight to the wilds of western Scotland.

Copp drew from her love of a good mystery and her knowledge of Beatles history to devise a plot full of fun, intrigue and clever clues so that even readers with no knowledge of the Beatles can enjoy the quirky characters and the clever mystery.

“I wanted to write a book that everyone could enjoy.  For the non-fan, there is a meaty mystery adventure story, but for the Beatles fan there is an added dimension of Beatles facts and history that adds to the enjoyment,” the author said. “I wanted to keep the story fun so there are little added surprises such as the introduction of a character called ‘Harry Potter’ and a mysterious character who is up to no good that the group must somehow shake off their trail.”

Copp believes that non-fiction books about the Beatles are interesting, but the facts can only be retold and documented so many times there is nothing new to say.  By making her book fiction, she was given the freedom to explore and comment on the Beatles music that has been a major thread throughout her life while making it a backdrop for her other passion: the mystery genre.  “Reviews and comments from fans who have read the book have been wonderful,” said Michele. “In fact I have been asked already if there will be sequel.  I hope there will be someday.”

Michele Copp has written articles for the British Beatles Fan Club quarterly magazine and is editor of the Special Olympics Loudoun County Council newsletter, but [Still Just] Four Liverpool Lads is her first full length novel. She lives outside Washington, D.C.  with her husband and two cats, one of which, Dexter, is also an author with his own online blog.

The book is available on Amazon around the world in paperback or Kindle formats.
