Nov. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha is all set to make another endeavour towards sustaining their success in the hospitality sector by adding new executive rooms and improving overall technology of the hotel in entirety. Not just that, the hotel is also going to enhance the amenities and start revamping of the atrium and restaurants in 2013, as announced by General Manager JS Anand.

“We have maintained a healthy mix of source markets, with new visitor streams from countries such as Canada, France, Italy and Sweden offsetting minor downturns in the German and Danish markets for instance,” he said.

JS Anand added, “The UK continues to be our biggest source of business and the US remains positive, but we have also been encouraged by the tremendous boost from the GCC, particularly during the holiday season for Eid.”

Dubai has been the venue for several events across the year, due to which Dubai hotels have experienced positive results in 2012. But with new hotel rooms coming up in every part of the city during the year and in near future, every property has to stay at the top of their game to maintain occupancies and a sound position in the industry.

Eagerly looking forward to 2013, Mr. Anand said that February had conventionally been a busy month for Dubai, and would also be critical to define the pace of events for the year.

“New hotels will definitely impact on existing players in the market, certainly towards the end of 2013, but we believe that the Dubai Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing is doing a tremendous job in its branding strategies for the city and reaching in to new markets.”, he said.

According to Mr. Anand, the five per cent increase in occupancy and eight per cent rise in average rate (which is above the average for Dubai hotels) that Holiday Inn Dubai-Al Barsha recorded for 2012 is the due to the strategic positioning as a four star hotel that offered five star look and operation and services.

“This enables us to offer competitive pricing without compromising on service standards,” he said.  “Customer retention has been high, supported by a dedicated and passionate team. Adapting to the changing dynamics of the market is essential, as well as implementing creative revenue management to meet profit expectations while maintaining value pricing for the customers.”
