Nov. 23, 2012 - PRLog -- There’s no one in this world who does not know anything about Botox.  It has become intensely popular among persons who want to get rid of the lines and wrinkles on their faces. However, in the recent celebration of Botox’s anniversary, experts sent our warning to a lot of patients; it’s not good to use injectable medications in an excessive way.

Three board certified plastic surgeons told the Business Weekender on that said event that it isn’t advisable for patients to get rid of all the wrinkles using Botox even though it’s very much possible. Although wrinkles are common signs of aging, emotions can also be responsible.

One doctor says, "Years ago, Hollywood directors were complaining because they couldn't find actors or actresses to play roles because everyone was over-treated with Botox, plastic surgeons may want to be extra cautious with male patients who are seeking Botox, because for men, facial "lines give a sense of power and dignity... The psychology behind a man's appearance is different from a woman's."

According to one doctor, “my male patients are usually concerned about deep wrinkle lines like those in the forehead while female patients are typically more worried about general wrinkling and finer lines.”

“Well, as the saying goes, too much of something is always bad,” says a certified plastic surgeon from http://psiatlanta.com/. “Plastic surgeons also have the role to educate their patients regarding the long term effects of injectable fillers like Botox and not giving them out just because of money.”

The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery records around 2 million patients using Botox in the year 2011. According to the organization, most patients who undergo these treatments are ranging from 35 to 50. Like experts say, it’s important to ask and have a constant communication to board certified plastic surgeons to avoid major complications.
