Through generous donations, His Harvest House is able to feed over 1,600 North Georgia families on a monthly basis – providing more than 5,000 men, women and children with an average of over 75,600 pounds of food month-after- Saturday, December 1: Lighting of the Edmondson-Telford Angel Tree – The Edmondson-Telford Center (ETC) for Children is a non-profit agency in Gainesville that is dedicated to providing hope to victims of child abuse. Lake Lanier Islands Resort invites guests to gather at the Holiday Village event tent for a truly magical night as the Angel Tree is lit – marking the start of ETC’s Angel Tree campaign to raise funds and awareness. Donations are 100% tax deductible and go to provide forensic examination services and support to victims of child abuse in Hall and Dawson counties. In exchange for their generous contribution, donors will receive a coupon to visit the 20th Annual Magical Nights of Lights. The Angel Tree Lighting event will include live entertainment, as well as a special appearance by Santa Claus. Now through Monday, December 31: 20th Annual Magical Nights of Lights Coupon Contributions – It truly does pay to save! With each coupon received at Lake Lanier Islands’ front gate during the 20th Annual Magical Nights of Lights, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to one of the charities supported by the Resort’s corporate partners. $10 off coupons are available at participating area Publix grocery stores, McDonalds restaurants, QuikTrip convenience stores, Chick-Fil-A restaurants, Lenny’s Sub Shop locations, and Audi Gwinnett. Lake Lanier Islands Resort extends that benevolent spirit to guests of the Magical Nights of Lights by honoring “Double Coupons” throughout the month of November. Attendees can present their $10 off coupons at the front gate to receive $20 off admission through Friday, November 30. Admission to Magical Nights of Lights is priced per the carload – so guests are encouraged to load up the family wagon with friends, family and neighbors to explore the self-guided driving tour of mile after mile of animated holiday light displays. Open nightly from 5 to 10 p.m. now through December 31, regular admission to the 2012 Magical Nights of Lights® is $60 per carload. For larger vehicles, gate admission to the Magical Nights of Lights is $90 for ten to 19 passenger capacity vans; or $250 for 20+ passenger capacity buses.
