Country-Rock performer releases debut single; co-headlines charity concert
Macon, Ga. (Nov. 21, 2012) Up-and-coming country-rock artist, Travis Denning, is releasing his debut single entitled “Ready For Tonight” on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. The song will be available worldwide through iTunes, Amazon.com and other digital music stores.
“Ready For Tonight” is an up-tempo, energetic tune that is sure to jumpstart a fun night out with friends. In the song, Denning showcases his vocal range, guitar skills and pure country roots.
Denning, who was born and raised in Middle Georgia, has been practicing and perfecting his sound since the age of 13. His music combines elements of country, rock, blues and bluegrass. Now with his own band consisting of Brad Sorrell (drums), Josh Graff (guitar) and Jake Johnson (bass), Travis’ songs have a breath of new life.
Time after time Denning has proven himself as a must-see live performer. MidGaLive.com states, “Definitely Middle Georgia’s next big export! This dude is going to be the next Keith Urban...and with good reason to back it up.”
“Ready For Tonight” is being released on the heels of a Christmas song that Denning co-penned with friends called “Ballad Of Rudolph”. The song is part of a charity Christmas compilation put out by the non-profit group Rock By The Sea and on Saturday, December 15, Denning will co-headline a charity concert in Macon, Ga, that includes Gannon Adams, Marty Evans and Lauren St Jand and the Dead Westerns.
"My grandmother struggled through cancer for 7 years, so I know firsthand the effects of cancer on someone,” Denning said. “Any chance I can take to raise money and support fighting cancer, I take it. And there's going to be some great music being played, so what's not to love?"
Proceeds from the concert and Christmas CD sales benefit the Pediatric Brian Tumor Program at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital in Orlando FL.
Denning continues to play shows throughout the southeast while writing and rehearsing new songs for a 2013 album release.
