NY Times & USA Today Bestselling Author Caridad Pineiro Proves the Pen is Mightier than the Storm

This book, however, takes on a deeper mission than just entertaining readers. Set in Atlantic City, which was recently devastated by Hurricane Sandy, Pineiro rewrote the draft to include the recent storm. Her heart aches for her fellow New Jerseyans who are suffering in the aftermath of storm. Caridad is donating 100 percent of her share of the proceeds from sales of the book, The Prince’s Gamble, from now until March 1, 2013, to the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund. As a bestselling author of paranormal romances and romantic suspense, she hopes her donation will make a difference to those in need.

Pineiro has an intense devotion to her home state of New Jersey and the Jersey Shore in which she has set so many of her novels.  “The Jersey Shore is a unique melding of all the people and cultures that make New Jersey such a wonderful state,” says Pineiro.  “When I’m down the shore I can experience so much thanks to the unique aspects of each of the towns and the beauty of the many beaches and wetlands.  My heart broke to see all the damage and I want to do what I can to help rebuild the shore.”

Pineiro  wrote her first novel in the fifth grade when her teacher assigned a project – to write a book for a class lending library – and continues to cast spells for her readers.
