-- CAMBRIDGE, MA – November 20th –
Kendall Psychological Associates (KPA), a group of highly trained doctoral-level psychologists, is pleased to announce the opening of its offices at One Kendall Square in Cambridge, MA. KPA offers individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, and groups for adults and older adolescents. KPA opens its doors November 20, 2012.
Psychotherapy has been proven effective in reducing anxiety, depression, and addictions, and in boosting individual productivity, as well as improving relationships and overall quality of life. To date, there has been a lack of counseling services available in Kendall Square – one of the busiest business areas in Cambridge that includes half of the top 10 employers in the city. Workers and residents in Kendall Square and at MIT have had to commute to other parts of the city and Boston to find psychologists. KPA’s services provide a convenient alternative.
"People's personal and emotional lives often go neglected in competitive, high-achieving environments,"
says KPA founder, psychologist Ethan Seidman, Ph.D. "But that neglect eventually has a cost, both at work and at home. We know the clear benefits of psychotherapy and are excited to give people in Kendall Square, MIT and the surrounding areas a convenient, professional, welcoming place where they can address their emotional and personal-growth goals."
Cambridge City Councillor Minka vanBeuzekom expressed great pleasure in seeing the opening of KPA in a convenient Kendall Square location. “This move marks the continuation of making Kendall Square the one stop for living, working and now self-care, that is necessary in our hectic lives. With plans for Kendall Square housing units and additional lab and office space already on the horizon and bringing in more people, Kendall Square is an ideal location for this type of business.”
