Bob’s Roasted Almonds enhance the feel of 12th Annual Denver Christkindl Market

Bob's Roasted Almonds provides an aroma that enhances the atmosphere of the 12th Annual Denver Christkindl Market according to General Manager Joshua Seeberg.

Nov. 19, 2012 - PRLog -- CASTLE ROCK, Colo.  – The 12th Annual Denver Christkindl Market will again feature Bobs Roasted Almonds (http://www.bobsroastedalmonds.com) of Castle Rock. Established in 2011, Bob Stephens and his wife Jena have offered their delicious nuts at numerous events from Colorado Springs to the north Denver metro area and this past summer in Vail. Their almonds, pecans and sunflower seeds are prepared in a water-sugar-cinnamon-vanilla solution and there is no oil or butter used in the process. All natural flavors and everything is gluten free and roasted to perfection in a copper kettle imported from Germany where their great Bavarian recipe originated.

“We are delighted to have Bob’s Roasted Almonds returning this year; the wonderful aromas from their booth are an important contribution to an authentic Chriskindl market atmosphere” said Joshua Seeberg, the general manager.

“The 2012 market has grown over 45 percent from 2011 and we have more German and European vendors with Christmas items” he continued. The Christkindl Market is an open air German style Christmas market presented annually by  the Colorado Chapter of the German American Chamber of Commerce (GACC).  Great live entertainment is lined up throughout the duration of the Market including singing, music, dancing and special appearances by a German Christkindl as well as St Nicholas, the German version of Santa Claus.

In addition to 18 recently acquired new vendor cabins with a mountain chalet appearance, we have many new  offerings including Gabi’s Soups to warm you while shopping, traditional hand-painted ornaments from Germany, Hummel Christmas Ornaments made in Germany by Reuter Porzellan, handcrafted items from the Holy land including wooden nativity scenes, religious wooden statues of the Holy Family and angels, an amazing variety of crepes by the Colorado Crepe Co., blown-glass Christmas ornaments from Thuringen, freshly made potato pancakes with amazing toppings by Latke Love, Kyrgyz Artisans’ hand-made ornaments and crafts and delicious Danish pastries and breads.

According to Seeberg the market will have a special six for five lunch deal this year as well as late afternoon happy hour specials for people working on or near the 16th Street Mall. The market’s extensive daily entertainment program schedule is readily available on its Website (http://www.DenverChristkindlMarket.com).

For a unique holiday party venue he suggests renting the Market’s heated holiday party tent for office or family holiday celebrations to enjoy  the unique cheery atmosphere of the Christkindl Market for a very different setting. Contact Seeberg to make arrangements to rent the space and for catering assistance.

A number of special events occurring during the course of the market to consider are:

November 23 –  Former Up with People Colorado representative Ms. Cassie Williams opens the Market’s extensive live entertainment offering at 4pm. The lighting of the new Christmas Canopy at the market in conjunction with the Downtown Denver Partnership’s Grand Illumination is at 6pm.

November 24 – See the 2012 Christkindl, Ms. Laura Kantwerk, during the Grand Opening Ceremony on Saturday, November 24 at 5pm. The Christkindl will appear and give the Prologue following welcome remarks.  The Colorado Chorale will then perform.

November 30 and December 1 – A great time to watch the Parade of Lights from the market while enjoying a hot chocolate or a warm Glühwein (mulled wine). The Market will remain open past its standard Friday and Saturday closing time of 9pm for the parade.

December 6 – Meet St Nicholas who will be celebrating his birthday with busloads of kids between noon and 4pm. Great opportunity to get a neat photo with him as a memento.

December 15 – Wheat Ridge Jazz Ensemble, Orchestra and Choir are amazing and will perform from 2 to 5pm.

December 21 – The well-known Kindred Spirits will perform a variety of Christmas and winter music at 7pm on both Friday and Saturday which has also been designated “Procrastinator’s Weekend;” the Christkindl Market is a nice final resort for last minute shoppers in a pinch.
