The parade begins at 6:00 pm and will feature Santa, marching bands, holiday songs, famous characters, clowns, the Westwood Fire Department, Color Guard, Westwood Volunteer Emergency Services, the Westwood Community Band, the Westwood Jr/Sr High School Band, the Park Ridge High School Band, the Emerson High School Band and fifty (or more) local groups including your friends and neighbors representing their organizations and activities. You won’t want to miss the exceptional floats and the many wonderful surprises! Lots of hot chocolate, hot cider and treats will be available as well. The fun is too good to pass up! The National Yiddish Theatre – Folksbiene Presents My Yiddishe Chanukah at the JCC on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 5:00 pm. Conceived and Directed by Zalmen Mlotek This successful event was first performed at New York’s Winter Garden last December. Some of the songs are in Yiddish, some in Ladino, Hebrew, and English. All the non-English lyrics are translated with Supertitle projections. The young ensemble of singers/actors is accompanied by a hip and versatile klezmer ensemble, with musical direction by the great Zalmen Mlotek!
