2012 Autumn Thief of Always Music Exploration in Redding

Nov. 17, 2012 - PRLog -- CHUDs Dojo coffee house and Redding music venue will be hosting the Fall 2012 Thief of Always event Saturday November 24th in downtown Redding California.

The event is a seasonal music and art show. Each season Archaic Radio, CHUDs, and Garpco Records hosts an event exemplifying the time of year.

At the 2012 Fall Thief of Always event there will be featured art, live artist demonstrations, and music from the Redding area and surrounding areas.

UXRXSX

The Universal Rhythm section has been a mainstay in the Redding California music scene for more than a decade. The group has passed through many musical phases in their tenure moving from orchestral soundtracks to industrial music to ancient. Currently the band is exploring the merger between electronica and video presentation. At this year’s Fall 2012 Thief of Always event The Universal Rhythm Section will be pairing their spin on electro with a Buttonface media presentation.

Symbiotic Cacophony Orchestra

This super band of Redding jam band musicians was born from the ashes of The Redding Warlocks. The Symbiotic Cacophony Orchestra features members of the Schoolmarms, Freddy Diablo and his Victims, The Waylon Heathens, The Uncanny Valley, Ellis and the Alchemists, the OMG Trio and more. Their music can change drastically from event to event depending on venue and the mood. This band always brings in a large turnout and is sure to inspire even the most jaded musician.

Seven Teeth of Saturn

Seven Teeth of Saturn provides what their name implies... a technological experiment into what the merger of computers and humans can accomplish. Always transient and sometimes rocking, Seven Teeth of Saturn is a music adventure like no other. Chech of the Redding Collective sooths the audience with a seemingly timeless synth while Matt hold reality together on the drums. Don’t miss Seven Teeth of Saturn.

The Schoolmarms

The Schoolmarms are the brain child of former front man of The Eternal Firecracker, Pappy Shakes, and one of the founding members of The Waylon Heathens, Waylon Diablo. The jittery riff and vocal combination put forth by the ‘marms is a psychedelic surf and turf amalgamation of Gibby Hanes and The Ventures with an extra dose of distorted “Run Don’t Walk”.

Matt

Matt is known for his psychedelic remixes of public domain gems dug deep from the backs of closets and hard drives. As eclectic as his video presentations are his music overlays are even more so. Good luck recognizing any aspect of his performance, but good luck forgetting it as well.

Buttonface

Buttonface, also known as Philip Decker, is a horror movie and media blogger as well as a video artist and independent filmmaker. Buttonface will be presenting an electro music and fall horror media presentation along with the musical stylings of The Universal Rhythm Section. His media presentations tend to be based on horror films and imagery.

CHUDs Dojo is an underground music venue in Redding California that lives up to its genre… by actually being underground. Located in a basement under a North State kenpo karate studio in downtown Redding, CHUDs is a music collective featuring bands, several record labels and a recording studio.
