-- Bass Bats has signed former University of Alabama stand-out and 2012 Women’s College World Series Champion, Jazlyn Lunceford, to an endorsement contract beginning this 2013 season. Lunceford, who just finished her first season with the Carolina Diamonds of the National Pro Fast Pitch Association (NPFA), will serve as the face for Bass’ foray into the women’s and youth fast pitch market with the Illusion and Diamond models. The Illusion, a signature series bat, will be targeted to high school and college level players who are looking for innovation and aesthetic appeal. The Diamond will be sold in the youth market and will capture the eye of both player and parent with its fun, yet functional design and affordable price.
Both Bass and Lunceford are looking forward to the launch. ‘We are excited to have Jazlyn on board,’ says Kevin Bass, CEO of Bass Bats. ‘She is an all-out player who represents today’s young female athlete. Not only is she a great role model, but she will be a valuable resource for research and development.’
Likewise, Lunceford, who is currently serving as a graduate coaching assistant at her alma mater, is eager to lend her competitive insight to this relationship. ‘I am thoroughly excited about teaming with Bass to help give athletes the edge they need on the field,’ states Lunceford.
Bass Bats was started by athletes for athletes. Kevin Bass along with his two brothers have over 25 years experience in baseball with a combined 20 years playing professionally.
