Nov. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- Trinity E.M.S., a leader in the ambulance industry, recently teamed up with the Merrimack Valley Hospital for the annual Community Health Fair, which was held several weeks ago.
Trinity’s EMTs and Paramedics (and owners) were seen in a slightly different role than usual. On this occasion, the only “9-1-1” emergencies that the skilled medical team faced was being certain that there were enough hamburgers and hot dogs available for the hundreds of visitors to the fair. Trinity’s role included serving up the barbecue food, as the medics-turned-chefs cooked up more than 450 hamburgers and an equal number of hot dogs. The day included free demonstrations by the Essex County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit, Curious Creatures, martial arts demonstrations, fitness demonstrations, free bicycle helmets safety demonstrations, free face painting and sand art, giveaways, raffles, and booths with dozens of health related vendors. “We have great respect for the good work that Merrimack Valley Hospital does,” said Christopher Dick, Director of Business Development at Trinity E.M.T. Inc. He added, “We are happy to have had the chance to work with them on this health fair. It’s a great way to remind the public that there’s far more to health care than emergency response and treatment, that prevention can go a long way.”
