High Stakes Fantasy Football event owners announce Fantasy Baseball Players Championship
Often a fantasy player says, "Wish I had played with you guys since the beginning" Well, fantasy players, this is your opportunity to join the Fantasy Baseball Players Championship from its inception and help us build another incredible community!
Over the years, the FFPC have had numerous requests for this game, but the time was never quite right as we continued to grow and improve our football product. However, I’m thankful that we can finally now offer this game for the players that have requested it since the inception of the FFPC.
We do have a commissioner with extensive experience in playing high-stakes fantasy baseball. Eric Balkman, who has been an integral part of the FFPC team in various capacities, has agreed to become the FBPC Commissioner. He participated in the old WCOFB and started playing 5x5 rotisserie at the impressionable age of 12.
Our intent in launching the FBPC (http://www.fantasybaseballplayerschampionship.com/
In constructing our prize structure, we wanted to make a point of offering lucrative league prizes. You only have to beat out 11 teams to finish in the money in the FBPC. Finish ahead of all of them, and you’ll win $6,500, with $2,500 going to second and $1,000 for third.
As per FFPC custom, we will offer an incentive to join the FBPC and support us early. Our regular price for a Main Event team is $1,600. We plan to offer an Early Bird special as well from December 1 to January 15. However for our “Leadoff Promotion”, you will see the lowest pricing we will ever offer: $1400 per team (two teams max). We won’t ask for a deposit, either. We’re only asking for your commitment and support to play us in 2013.
Here’s what the FBPC is promising: A professionally run, fiscally responsible contest just like the industry-leading Fantasy Football Players Championship. The FBPC will be fun and enjoyable with top-notch competition. It goes without saying that prize money will be protected and paid out quickly (but I’m going to say it anyway).
A few details: All FBPC drafts will be held online for year one. We will offer four FBPC Main Event drafts times and dates (TBA). Standard 5x5 scoring categories.
Our payouts will always be competitive and customer service is just as crucial, which is why we are so pleased that Eric will help us grow the FBPC over the long term. He’s hard-working, very talented.
This is just the beginning. We are still working on launching our full web site and fantasy baseball forums. We have other leagues and contests to announce for 2013. All of that will come shortly, but we wanted to get the 2013 FBPC Main Event announced and get the ball rolling, pun intended.
As all fantasy players can imagine, the first year is the time we need your support most. Frankly, the FBPC will not succeed without you. While we do have an extensive marketing plan, nothing beats word-of-mouth from all of you respected fantasy players to another.
As you can tell from our prize structure and estimated year-one modest Main Event projections, we are clearly approaching fantasy baseball from a long-term perspective. Without question we understand and respect that we are the “new kids on the block” and need to earn the support of high stakes fantasy baseball players. The FBPC is not a lark or some sort of trivial pursuit for us. We will be here for years to come. So if you love fantasy baseball, we urge you to give us a shot and get in on the ground floor as we all build this contest together. Register today for the Fantasy Baseball Players Championship!
