Nov. 16, 2012 - PRLog -- The Trip Miles App (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/trip-miles/id577197078?mt=8 ), designed for use on the iPhone 4 and iPhone 5, uses device’s GPS to track all the details of a driver’s trip that can be later shared via email or dropped into Dropbox account.
“What makes this app so different from other apps is that it has just one touch trip recording. Drivers don’t have to manually enter tens of fields to create their mileage log for tax purposes. Plus it also generates a driver’s complete trip route that can be exported as KML file. Trip miles has several usages, it can be used by individual travelers’ to keep track of their personal fuel expenses or to generate reports for tax reimbursement. There is a huge untapped fleet industry there that is still relying on expensive GPS devices to track their drivers; this app can be used by fleet management companies to get their driver’s driving behavior reports. The app can also be used by parents of teenage drivers to view their children’s driving activities,” said Amit Jain the co-founder of GammaPoint LLC.
The app is free for 1 week for promotion. After the promotion period ends, Trip Miles app will cost $1.99
The app records origin and destination address, start and end time, distance travelled, charts driving pattern, maps complete trip route for future analysis and report generation. The trip logs can be viewed in an easy to view log format or on a calendar. While driving, users can switch their dashboard view from fuel expenses view to map view or to driving chart view and can also view weather in real time.
