Follow on Google News | Lucy the Tortoise – My Big Adventure Just in time for the Holidays! You may remember Lucy the Tortoise being on the NEWS in 2011 with her story of escape and then being returned with the help of the media. Her GRAND adventure story even made it into People Magazine!
By: SEOREPSERVICES This book is based on the true story of the authors seven-year-old pet tortoise’s long road home after disappearing from her yard outside of Denver, Colorado. Imagined from Lucy’s point of view, the resulting story is an adventure tale that will excite children about the animal world with its intriguing facts about camouflage, games, and different habitats. Lucy gives her recount of the events as she experienced them for the readers teaching children about talking to strangers and the bad things that can happen if they do, such as getting led away from home among other troubles. Children can retain more details about morals and life lessons if those lessons are in a cartoony format that stimulates their interest. Lucy’s artwork is very reminiscent of currently popular children’s programming on channels such as PBS, Disney and Cartoon Network, though not officially related to any properties on those channels. Children can let their imaginations take control while reading Lucy the Tortoise while parents are assured the lessons are valuable and easy to understand. Lucy the Tortoise – My Big Adventure is now available to purchase in both physical book format and as an eBook on AMAZON.com Even better news is that the eBook will be available for a FREE download on Tuesday, November 20th. And for those living in Colorado the book can be purchased at RockleyArts at 13640 Orchard Parkway in Westminster, CO and at Rockley Music at 8555 W. Colfax Ave in Lakewood, CO.
