Poricy Park Conservancy 9TH Annual Trail Run/Walk

Nov. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Poricy Park Conservancy located in Middletown, NJ will hold its Annual Trail Run/Walk on Saturday, December 1, 2012, in cooperation with the Jersey Shore Running Club. The race will begin at 9:30 a.m; check-in time is 8:30 a.m. at the Nature Center.

In addition to the 5K Run/Walk and 2K Fun Run for Kids, there will be a 5 Mile Run for the die-hard runner! The Trail Run is open to all ages, whether you run or walk! Enjoy rolling trails, mostly grass and dirt terrain in the scenic Park. The 5 Mile race will wind through the Park, continue outside the Park onto street pavement through the neighboring development, and return to finish in the Park.
An awards ceremony will be held at the end of the race with trophies being awarded in different categories.

Fee:   5K Run/Walk & 5 Mile Run: $20 if received by 11/23; $25 thereafter
   2K Kids’ Fun Run: $10 if received by 11/23; $15 thereafter
   2K Special - 3 kids for the price of 2!
   Students with School ID $10

Poricy Park Conservancy is a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization located in Middletown Township. All community and summer camp programs are run by Poricy Park Conservancy. Poricy Park is located at 345 Oak Hill Road in Middletown Township. With exceptional ecological resources, the 250 acre historical and nature site makes it one of the largest parks in Monmouth County. The Park offers recreational activities such as magnificent wooded hiking trails, bird watching, pristine pond settings, fishing, and a one-of-a-kind 70 million year-old Cretaceous fossil bed. Poricy Park is home to the 1770 NJ Historic Murray Farmhouse and Barn. The Nature Center is open Monday-Friday, 9:00am-4:00pm.
