Candace Polk of Glitz Event Design Winner of BizBash's Social Event Planner of the Year Award

Nov. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Chicago, Illinois – November 15, 2012 – GlitzPR & Marketing is proud to announce that Director of Events, Publicist and Founder of Glitz Event Design and GlitzPR & Marketing, Candace Polk won the Social Event Planner of the Year Award for the 2012 BizBash Chicago Readers' Choice Award. The Readers’ Choice Awards are the only BizBash awards where you help choose the finalists and winners in all categories.  

The winners of the Chicago Readers' Choice Awards were announced at the BizBash IdeaFest on Wednesday at the Merchandise Mart. Readers were first invited to nominate local event professionals in 13 categories, then later, to vote on the finalists through our interactive voting site.

Candace has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from National-Louis University. She has over a decade of experience working in the event planning industry and her experience has been invaluable for her to bring increased attention to detail and innovative creativity to her work with clients.  Some notable events she executed in 2012 are An Intimate Bridal Affair™ at Hotel Palomar in Chicago, Actor and Hip Hop Rapper Common's organization Common Ground Foundation's Official After Party at Chicago Illuminating Co. and Chicago Bulls player Derrick Rose and long-time girlfriend Mieka's baby shower at Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago.
