Children’s Museum of Virginia Presents Snow Wonders
Visitors to the Museum and Olde Towne Portsmouth will be treated to a snow and light show every Friday and Saturday evening November 23-December 31. Snow falls every hour beginning at 5:30 p.m. and ending at 7:30 pm.
Other special holiday events and activities include free wagon rides connecting the Children’s Museum of Virginia and Winter Wonderland at the Portsmouth Art & Cultural CenterRainbow Puppets Production of The Night Before Christmas (November 25), Gingerbread House Workshops, scenes from the renowned Coleman Collection Christmas Wonderland in the changing exhibit area, and more.
Visitors can save up to $4 per person when purchasing a Holiday Pass. This $12 pass includes one admission to the Children’s valwy Museum of Virginia, the Portsmouth Art & Cultural Center, and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum.
Holiday hours are Tuesday - Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday - Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The Museum is closed Mondays (except December 24th and 31st) and Christmas Day.
