New Farm Shop Opens in Cornwall

Nov. 15, 2012 - PRLog -- Etherington’s new farm shop was officially opened last night at Wheal Rose near Scorrier.  Friends and family all attended the celebration and the shop opens its doors to the public for the first time today.  

Already known throughout the region for its high quality meats, Etherington’s now offers a wide range of local produce including fish, vegetables and dairy products.  The new shop also houses a baker creating pasties from a recipe dating back 100 years.

Managing Director Mark Etherington is excited.

“We are all very proud to open Etherington’s Farm Shop.  We promise to offer the very best of Cornish food and drink at an affordable price.  It’s a sign of exciting times for us as we diversify after nearly 60 years specialising in local quality meat.”

The next step in the company’s diversification will see Cornwall’s first bespoke butchery school opening above the farm shop in January.  Etherington’s Butchery Academy will teach traditional skills to the next generation of butchers, in a bid to save the trade.
