Charity Workout for Hurricane Sandy: Thanksgiving Turkey Burn

Nov. 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Cherry Hill, NJ – Evolution Fitness in Cherry Hill, NJ will host a charity workout on Thanksgiving morning, November 22.  All proceeds from the workout will be donated to the American Red Cross to aid in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.  The “Turkey Burn” will be a 1 hour Total Body workout designed by the team at Evolution Fitness.  It is open to anyone; you do not have to be a member of Evolution Fitness to participate.

“We really wanted to do something to help everyone in our area who was badly affected by Hurricane Sandy, some of whom we know personally.  Our members, also, expressed a desire to help.  It was actually one of our members, Cathy Cain of Barrington, NJ, who first suggested a charity workout,” said Helena Duzenski, co-owner of Evolution Fitness.   “We jumped on the idea right away because it’s a win-win. Participants will get the opportunity to help the charity AND get a great workout on Thanksgiving morning!” chimed in Brian Kane, co-owner of Evolution Fitness.

The “Turkey Burn” workout will begin at 8 AM.  You can register ahead of time online or just show up that day.  Evolution Fitness asks that participants arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the necessary forms.  The workout will be held outside in the back parking lot, so dress warmly.  In the event of inclement weather, it will be moved indoors.  The minimum donation for the workout is $20, all of which will be donated to the American Red Cross.  All profits from Evolution Fitness’s Shake & Smoothie Bar that day will also be donated to the cause, so be sure to get your post-workout recovery shake after the Turkey Burn!

Evolution Fitness’s Turkey Burn workout is designed to rev up your metabolic engine, incorporating both strength training and high intensity interval training into one powerful workout.  It’s the best way to start any day, but especially a day of feasting like Thanksgiving!
