New Prostate Cancer Knowledge Centre launched for Healthcare Professionals
EPG Health Media has announced the launch of it’s latest interactive educational resource for healthcare professionals - the Prostate Cancer Knowledge Centre.
Over 385,500 new cases of prostate cancer were diagnosed in 2008,1 making it the most frequently diagnosed cancer in European men, with the exception of skin cancers.2 Therefore prostate cancer represents a major cause of morbidity, especially in the developed world. The site will provide information on both hormone-sensitive and castrate-resistant prostate cancer, detailing current screening and detection methods, and the recommended treatment options available for individual patients.
“Remaining up-to-date with current disease processes and treatments is a crucial requirement and challenge for doctors” stated Chris Cooper, Managing Director, EPG Health Media. “We have been pleased to work with Astellas Pharma Europe Ltd to make this valuable resource freely available to users of EPG Online.”
EPG Online, the professional channel for doctors, is an independent website dedicated to providing doctors and other healthcare professionals with current disease and treatment information. Organised within 50 disease topic areas, doctors can find drug data (in 9 European languages), clinical trial study outcomes, guidelines for treatment, news, journal articles, multimedia and other content from reputable sources.
