Nationwide Boiler Inc. Provides Temporary Steam for Production of "Green" Specialty Chemicals
Nationwide Boiler is providing temporary steam during the start-up of Myriant Technologies new bio-succinic acid plant in Lake Providence, LA.
The US Department of Energy awarded Myriant with a $50-million grant in December 2009, and the US Department of Agriculture chose Myriant as the first renewable chemicals plant to be awarded a loan guarantee. The money has already helped create over fifty permanent jobs, as well as two-hundred and fifty construction jobs in Lake Providence.
Founded in 2004, Myriant Technologies is the industry leader for production of high-value, bio-based “green” chemicals that are used in processes that make every day consumer products. The chemicals are created from renewable, sustainable feedstocks rather than the traditional petroleum base to reduce their carbon footprint. Chemicals produced include bio-succinic acid and other bio-based products that integrate easily into existing processes and perform equal to or better than petroleum-based chemicals.
