Nov. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Software-as-a-Service Company (SAAS) CLEVVA has walked away with the Business Process Enablement South Africa’s (BPeSA) Industry Award for Top Innovation for 2012.
Held at a gala awards ceremony at the CTICC on Saturday night, Minister Alan Winde, MEC for Finance, Economic Development and Tourism in the Western Cape announced the award, noting the importance that innovation will play in driving both job creation and growth in an industry that has just been awarded the top global outsourcing destination for contact centres.

CLEVVA is the brainchild of entrepreneur brothers Ryan and Dayne Falkenberg and their business partner Mark Pederson and has cracked the proverbial code when it comes to overcoming human shortcomings and lacking business and product knowledge with the help of mobile technology – making it one of four technology companies in the running for the prestigious IBM Start-Up Award.

This home-grown technology is the first of its kind in the world and leverages the strength of people and technology to create an incredibly simple and easy to use platform that can be used in a variety of different applications – ranging from call centres through to complex face to face sales

“Call centres have become a major employer of school leaving South Africa. However, the industry was in desperate need of a solution is able to capture sales and support expertise in a way that is easy to access and easy to maintain,  reduces the amount of time new recruits spend in classrooms receiving training, and accelerates the time speed at which highly technical and specialised knowledge is imparted without the lack of failure.

CLEVVA has proven to consistently improve sales, improve customer support, improve compliance, whilst reducing staff training, time to competence, and risk of error by combining the strengths and benefits of technology, such as huge memory, rapid data recall, rapid logic application, rapid updates with the unique interpersonal and relationship skills of people with a high EQ or Emotional Intelligence”, says Ryan Falkenberg, co-founder of CLEVVA.

Because the technology gives the user real-time decision-making support, BPeSA was impressed with how CLEVVA technology enabled call centre operators to address every query or problem they faced without requiring a whole lot of training.

“BPeSA creates an enabling environment for our members to network, share knowledge, and collectively contribute to ensuring a vibrant South African industry”, says Gareth Pritchard, CEO of BPeSA Western Cape.  “Our aim is to ensure growth and sustainability in the industry and we were suitably impressed with how Clevva is able to navigate users through every step and response received by customers, call centre operators can now focus on the needs of their clients and being brand ambassadors of the company they represent”, he said.

"We are very humbled to have received such a prestigious award, and are now even more determined to help more companies unlock their human performance with less training, less cost and less business risk”, says CLEVVA’s Ryan Falkenberg.
