Five of the best help mark salon’s birthday makeover

Nov. 13, 2012 - PRLog -- Anna Ramsey, owner of The Hair Studio in Mayfield, invited the five women to the salon to help her celebrate the special milestone. Each customer was given a bouquet of flowers from local florist The Flower House and a glass of sparkling wine to help celebrate the occasion.

This year Anna decided to invest thousands of pounds updating and decorating the salon to give it the feel of a top London hairdressers. At the same time, Anna decided the salon needed a new name to go with the new look so it changed from the Big Scissor Company to The Hair Studio.

Anna explained: “I am really pleased with the way the salon looks now. It is more modern than before and more in line with our approach to hair styling. I love to travel and some of the choices were definitely inspired from styles I’ve seen abroad.”

As well as the new look, customers can now book appointments on-line via the new website www.hairstudio.uk.com and take advantage of free WiFi. To help make her operation as eco as possible, Anna has invested in special, easy dry biodegradable towels and uses as many natural products as possible.

Training will continue to be a high priority for Anna and her seven-strong team with several members achieving top qualifications for expertise in colour.

“We want local men and women to realise that there is a top salon on their doorstep and that they can have their hair done in surroundings that equal the top places in Tunbridge Wells, or London, by staff who are equally or even better trained. Staying locally is less stressful, less time consuming, more affordable and supports the local economy.”

So that everyone can share in the fifth year celebrations, Anna is offering £5 off to anyone who ‘likes’ the salon’s Facebook page and books an appointment in November - whether they are a new, existing or returning customer.
