Marketing Just for Photographers Entrepreneurs who want to Attract More Customers

Nov. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Photographers are entrepreneurs, small business owners and will be using social media to create a buzz and attract customers.
Marketing can be very overwhelming when someone is starting off.  There are many possibilities and trying to do it all at once is really a bit crazy.

A good marketing plan just for photographers:
Start with the creation of a blog.  Blogging is a great way to communicate with your customers and to attract new people to your site.
A good blog to use is WordPress.com.  It will allow you to control the SEO and to work with the keywords that are relevant to your business.

The secret is to keep it simple.  The whole structure has to be simple.  A light background with dark words is so much better than a black background with white words.  Have you tried to read white letters on black?  After a while the letters seem to blur.  Eyes get tired.  

Don't add too many widgets.  They are distracting.

Add photographs of photo shoots, show clients talking to you or in the middle of a shoot.  Share a vacation tip.  Share a how to photograph on a vacation.  
Be friendly and fun.  People like to read light articles and they love to see what other people do.  Add videos.

When working on a fine art photography project, share it on the blog.  Let people see your progression.

Many photographers do not like to write.  These posts do not need to be big long articles.  200 words with a photo will be just fine.  Write 3 or 4 times a week.
Once you start it becomes more natural and then don't forget that you can schedule these posts so you do not have to be writing all the time.

Blogging will help others find you and customers relate to you.  Add facebook and Twitter buttons so that people will share your posts on their social media.
