Indie Artists Join Southern Star Network For Hurricane Sandy Relief Broadcast

Nov. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- This past Saturday night, November 10, 2012, The Southern Star Network presented its "Hurricane Sandy Relief Show." The show, which was co-produced by MTS Management Group owner, Michael Stover, featured many of the best independent music artists from around the world, including MTS artists, Doug Briney, Josey Milner, Amy Rose, and Xander Demos. Also appearing on the show were Lynn Easterly, Josie Passantino, Sam and Luke, and many more. The show was broadcast on www.southernstarnetwork.com, with the purpose of raising funds for Hurricane Sandy relief.

"This devastation from Hurricane Sandy has really affected so many in the northeast,, and when Michael McCormack asked me to get my artists involved with this project, it was a no-brainer," said Michael Stover. "I sent out messages to all of my artists, and they immediately responded with 'How can I help?' That's why I'm so proud to be working with each of these incredibly talented and giving people."

Doug Briney and Xander Demos were also involved in their own charity events this past weekend, on opposite sides of the country. On Saturday, Xander  performed with one of his cover bands, Jukebox, for a Wounded Warriors Benefit in Pittsburgh, and on Sunday, Doug Briney hosted a Veterans Day Online Benefit show for veterans charities.
