Former UFC Veteran Signs with Fight Time Promotions

Nov. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Howard Davis Jr.’s Fight Time Promotions is proud to announce that it has signed Vagner Rocha to an exclusive multi-fight deal.  

Rocha, who just won the Fight Time Promotions/ISKA Lightweight Florida Title after beating Mike Bruno, has now inked with the company.

“We wanted to make this a long-term relationship after Vagner showed his professionalism inside and outside of the MMA cage,” said Howard Davis Jr., CEO of Fight Time Promotions and 1976 Boxing Olympic Gold Medalist.

Rocha who fights in the MMA Professional Lightweight Division boasts an impressive record of 8-3.  He fought in the UFC three times and after his tenure was up with the company; Fight Time Promotions offered him a chance to get back in the cage for a championship title fight on Nov. 2, 2012 for Fight Time 12 “Warriors Collide.”

“I enjoy working with Fight Time Promotions and I’m excited to be able to get in the cage soon,” said Vagner.

Rocha made quick work during his first appearance with Fight Time Promotions in front of a packed house at the War Memorial Auditorium in Ft. Lauderdale, FL after submitting long-time rival Mike Bruno of American Top Team in the 2nd Round.

This fight put the rivalry to rest and created a special bond between promoter and fighter.

“Vagner has been a true professional throughout this process and we decided that we wanted to invest our time and energy into his career,” said Davis Jr.  

Rocha is not just a successful professional MMA fighter; but a good businessman as the owner of his own gym: Vagner Rocha- Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Center in Pembroke Pines.
