He has over 600,000 followers on Twitter and is frequently asked to perform as Master of Ceremonies for galas and benefit shows. The New York Times published an article about Michael Buckley where he discussed his internet entrepreneurship, which will be a topic on the SPARQ1 episode. In the summer of 2012, he attended the Grassroots to Champions Super Camp, which was held in Lake Placid, NY, where he participated in the training sessions and was the MC for the Young Artists Showcase Finals.
Michael Buckley is openly gay and he and his spouse, Michael Donegan, reside in Connecticut. He had laser surgery to correct his vision, but continues to wear eyeglasses to maintain his recognized personality.
