Florida Home Builder Holds 14th Annual "Helping Hands for the Holidays" Fundraising Event

Nov. 12, 2012 - PRLog -- Florida Home Builder, The Aubuchon Team of Companies, will be kicking off the holidays with its 14th annual “Helping Hands for the Holidays” charity event at the Team Aubuchon Building (4707 SE 9th Place, Cape Coral) on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. The event will feature performances by local youth, a visit from Santa, donated food from area restaurants, and a Rockefeller-type Christmas tree lighting at 6:30pm. Proceeds will go to benefit Make-A-Wish Southern Florida, The Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Southwest Florida, and The LEE BIA Builders Care™ of Lee County, a non-profit division of the Lee Building Industry Association.

“This old-fashioned, hometown event is always a great way to kick off the holiday season. We invite everyone to stop in and enjoy the evening with complimentary beverages and food. With close to 300 people in attendance last year, and more than $10,000 raised for local charities, our goal this year is to double that amount.” said Diane VanArsdale. “We are looking forward to making this year an even greater success!”

The 2012 “Helping Hands for the Holidays” fundraising event will feature performances of Christmas carols by students from Heights Elementary.

The public is invited and admission is free.

Food for the event will be provided by local restaurants including Bubba’s Roadhouse, The Twisted Conch, The Lighthouse Restaurant, and others.
