Eden Technologies Presents The "Building a Windows 7 Budget" Webinar Session
Eden Technologies is pleased to present the webinar, “Building a Windows 7 Budget – Real World Advice on How to Capture the Cost of Your Migration” tomorrow, November 13 at noon (EST).
The end of XP support is now 17 months away and organizations that haven’t yet begun their Windows 7 migrations are beginning to formalize budgets and project plans. With such little time to spare, however, a lot of IT departments are struggling to create budgets that fit the scope of their projects.
“Many organizations haven’t migrated to a new OS in 10 years, and they don’t fully remember how complex migrations are,” said Susan Ergun, Director of Professional Services at Eden Technologies. “Every project component affects another, and every budget decision impacts the entire project. Organizations need to understand the intricacies of the project fully before they can build a budget that makes sense.”
“One thing we are telling our customers is that they cannot allow migration urgency to beget hasty decisions or poor planning,” said Glenn Billing, Director of Finance at Eden Technologies. “Although it’s tempting to dive right in, there is a science to every OS migration, and it starts with a comprehensive planning phase. Only after you’ve seen your project from all angles and phases can you build a budget that reflects your specific and realistic needs.”
Tomorrow’s webinar is for anyone in the planning stages of a Windows 7 migration. Participants will benefit from the ranging experiences of seasoned Engagement Director Susan Ergun and Director of Finance Glenn Billing. The two will pull from their 25 years of finance and project management experience to provide real-life strategies that Eden recommends all of its customers use when building a Windows 7 migration budget.
