In the KoldCast TV deal, The HOOD LORDS will premiere this fall 2012 and continue into the season with 10-episodes, as well as the backing of some strategic advertisers that recognize the niche market The HOOD LORDS is uniquely capable of reaching. RJ Harper, the Ivy league filmmaker directing the series, anticipates forcing viewers to re-think whatever they thought about network television programing; The HOOD LORDS guarantees intense drama, intrigue, romance, and a spotlight on the violence that has become a staple in the Mexican drug cartel's world image. The official cast and crew will be announced soon. From his San Diego neighborhood, Paul Vaden, joining the local YMCA boxing squad, knew at age 8 that he wanted to be like his hero—Mohammed Ali. Through hard work and determination, he set out to be the boxing world champion! At an early age, that determination became his dream. That dream would ultimately be fulfilled as he emerged in the boxing world, rising to world light middleweight champion. His quest reached, fate set in when an aspiring boxing opponent, Stephan Johnson, died as a result of an Atlantic City fight at the Taj Mahal in 1999. Vaden emerges from the tragedy and becomes a spokesperson and motivational speaker. His story is the story of hope and survival, of coming together after a tragedy and emerging as a spokesperson for others. Born in Troy, New York, John V. Amodeo now lives in the Hell’s Kitchen area of Manhattan. For three decades, Amodeo worked for the NYC public school system as assistant principal and history department head; now retired from that post, he is an adjunct professor of American history and political science at Mercy College. Amodeo exercises his love for NYC as a part-time tour guide. His previous books include: ‘Voices of Hell’s Kitchen,’ a fictional account of the myriad personalities of his unique neighborhood.
